Returning to work

Man at my work left 16 days ago testing positive for the rona, with symptoms. He has shown back to work this morning. Dont know whether to stay at work or run out the door. Is there a certain time frame recommended or just whenever doctor releases him?

How long since his last symptoms? If it's been at least four days I believe that's more than the doctors are recommending.

I'm sure some medical person gave him the official clearance...but I would stay away for awhile still.

Great, this is gonna be the new, albeit legit bullying/discrimination. I’m interested to see how these incidents play out in the coming months.

I believe the recommended quarantine is 14 days.
That being said there seems to be evidence out there of the virus hanging around longer than that.
Wash yo hands and stay away from the guy for awhile.

16 days is plenty of time, especially considering that he probably already had it several days before testing positive. This thing doesn’t last 3+ weeks from when symptoms start.

This is a serious deal. He showed symptoms for several days the second week of march. Cough, runny nose, etc. This is about the time Governor started ringing bell on this. I did not see him again. On march 23rd, a Monday, he tested positive. Sent home. I spoke with him on phone last week, he said he felt ok. Sounded normal. Told him I was praying for him. Showed up at work this morning. Sounds normal. I don't think he every really got seriously I'll. Is there any CDC guidelines for when someone returns to work? Are they suppose to be re-tested before returning to work? Cause several employees are ready to walk out.

3 days fever free, just to be cleared by doctors. I would add another 7 days, just to be safe.

16 days is beyond any guideline I’ve seen. I’m sure he wouldn’t be there without some form of clearance.

I assume he talked with HR and was allowed back?
