By the way, is it normal for my doctor to require a minimum of three fingers for this type of exam?

My guy does it with both his hands on my shoulder. Is that normal?

Cutting carbs and sugars will also lower it.

Just checked my app. I’m at 64 bpm. It’s much higher when I have a few too many refreshments.

Edit: holy shite I was at 86 in January. My poor heart.

That's not really significant.

You do not sound like a healthy manly man. Chug a few beers and go get laid. That will fix whatever heart rate your little watch notification gave you.

I hardly drink at all and my Garmin says my last 14 days average RHR is 51, but if I have a few beers on the patio on the weekend, it'll go up 5-8 points. It may have something to do with interrupted sleep after drinking carrying over into your day.

I mean, I make no excuses. I eat too much and pick up things that are too heavy on the regular.

But I do not eat processed bullshite and have tracked every single macro for the past 7ish years.

My blood work is perfect. My BP is perfect.

I just have a tendency to eat whatever amount I serve myself. #fatass

55-65 normally. It's not uncommon for it to drop into the 40's and mid 30's when sleeping.

My resting is around 50 and I get a few alerts a month that my resting drops below 40 when sleeping

I'm 52 and my resting heart rate is 40-45. When I was in my thirties and ran everyday it was lower 33-37. If I'm stressed my rate is in the 60's at a minimum. Just depends on exercise amount and alcohol consumption for most people.
