Restaurants of a middle class family

Growing up we had a handful of local Mexican places and then all of the chains showed up. There was a time where going to Chilis or Applebees was a treat. Now they’re dead. Below average food. Below average service. I would put Walk On’s in that category now as a new brand but still it’s somewhat dying slowly.
Where do the middle to upper middle class families eat now? I’m talking a low key place to take your kids. Not the date night place.
Edit: Considering it costs a family of 5 north of $50 for fast food maybe that’s the answer. Just seems like an American past time is dead.

Chilis in East Cobb is exceptionally decent.

I would sacrifice every poster on this board for one more trip to early 90s Panchos

I heard Chilis has improved. I don’t know this for sure, I haven’t been there since sometime before Covid

Our go-to kids spot is City Club, because the patio backs up to the town square and our kids can just go play while we eat dinner outside.
Our 5 year old can eat with us wherever, we try to aim for spots that have outside seating for our 1 year old. Pizza place, Mexican, hamburger spot, sandwich spot, etc…
When our oldest was young, she was chill enough to go pretty much anywhere though, even white table cloth Italian. Our second born, not so much

Picadilly was invented to take a family to
red lobster, olive garden, cracker barrel
if the kids are really young, have a pizza night

In 1996 our high school Spanish class had a field trip to sing Christmas carols to old folks in a home off Florida Blvd. We went to Panchos after because it was Spanish class, obviously.
Every single person got sick af later that afternoon.

I'd eat at Pancho's even if it wasn't that great just for the nostalgia
Once upon a time it was the place to go Friday night.
