Nah, Chilis has risen from the dead. They're hopping again.

Texas Roadhouse, it seems like. Cheddars is popular too.

The one in Cleveland sucked donkey dick last time I was there, I am pretty sure it has since closed.

I remembered the one in Tupelo as a kid and thought I should try it while over there. Bad idea
I believe the one in greenville is the last one in the south, and maybe the country

their pizza really wasn't that great, but I ate it a bunch as a kid in jxn b/c my mother hated to cook and would bring it home

someday, I will make a pilgrimage to Greenville and pay homage...

Growing up we had a handful of local Mexican places and then all of the chains showed up. There was a time where going to Chilis or Applebees was a treat. Now they’re dead. Below average food. Below average service. I would put Walk On’s in that category now as a new brand but still it’s somewhat dying slowly. Where do the middle to upper middle class families eat now? I’m talking a low key place to take your kids. Not the date night place. Edit: Considering it costs a family of 5 north of $50 for fast food maybe that’s the answer. Just seems like an American past time is dead.

We mainly do local places with a few locations if we go out to eat. I’m terrible and end of eating at the same 4 or 5 places closest to the house.

Our family eats out every meal. Usually a similar rotation for dinners at local establishments during the week. Saturdays we change it up and try different establishments. Sunday brunch is always the same spot

My 1st job was at Chilis in Marietta, GA. in 1989. That Swiss burger was great but my favorite was the Rojo burger. The sauce was the best. They quit making that before 2000.

I went to a Chilis 2 weeks ago for the 1st time in 5 years. It was top shelf for that type of chain restaurant.

It’s just basically the bar area is the “Smoking section”. Nothing to really contain the smoke. And I’ve only seen people actively smoking in the Pleasanton one and embarrassingly enough they were with me. God damn coil hands don’t have any manners.

I was a manager at Piccadilly in the 90s. I still know many of the recipes. Make gumbo and etouffee Piccadilly style all the time.
