Rest in Peace, BRPD Cpl. Shane Totty - Died in Motorcycle Crash Today on Jones Creek

This is the same officer who survived being shot in the face less than a year ago. He has a wife and infant child. He died today after a car pulled out in front of him while escorting a funeral procession.
Please pray for his wife and child.

Horrible stuff. I was just trying to turn down Jones Creek and saw the cops had it blocked off from Tiger Bend now I know why.

Why again do funeral processions have to be escorted? Why can’t they travel at a slower speed so the motorcycle cops don’t have to hit 80 mph to catch up after blocking traffic?

They don't have to be escorted. Hopefully Murphy Paul does the right thing here and stops letting his guys do them. It's only a matter of time until this happens again.
