Yeah good luck with that.

SWP and her hand puppet MP will cry racism and the only cops they will be able to spare if they did do it are rookies assigned to NBR because no one with seniority wants that job. They would rather deal with the bitch from Bocage who is missing an inspection sticker.

This "alternate route" bullshite just makes BRPD and Broome even more of a joke, because the BRPD spokesman was on WBRZ just 2 days ago saying they consider all of Government Street as a major roadway artery. This level of posturing, incompetency and ineptitude is maddening.

Go down one of the side streets? Um, no thanks. I cannot believe this is what they're telling the public. Y'all...

How about, we will have enhanced police presence in this area until this crime is solved.

how is this classified as a homicide and not a murder?

Agree 100%. If you are on Government St. heading downtown in no way would you want to turn right anywhere between S. Foster. & downtown. Then if you if you take a left you end up in neighborhoods and will probably get lost.

The police department saying there are alternate routes is absolutely ridiculous. It’s not like she was taking a shortcut on some side streets. She was on a main road where all kinds of money is being spent revitalizing the street.

When you get responses like this it makes it 100% clear that Baton Rouge is a lost cause.

Probably the safest route from Government to campus that isn't way out of the way would be Government to Jefferson to College. Still might get stopped at a red light by Valley Park though and College isn't exactly Mayberry at 2am either.

Government to S Foster to College also works.

It ends up adjacent to bad areas like Balis but doesn’t go through them.

You could always head towards 99 Oaks. Oh wait, nevermind, that's a war zone now as of the last 48 hours as well.

Debatable. The city is surrounded.

Smartest mayor and police chief the world has ever seen! What a blessing they are for our city!

What is more frightening about this whole thing is she was in her car at a red light. She wasn't walking down the street. She wasn't robbed getting into her car. I mean not many people think that you could get shot inside your car driving if they are being honest. I would think this type of crime would be the biggest priority to try and prevent.

At that portion of Government, Park Blvd. is definitely the closest way to get to LSU. For those who don't know, Dalrymple turns into Park Blvd. and connects with Government St.

I wonder how they feel/felt about the response “they should have complied” when it comes to officer involved shootings or physical confrontations.

Seriously, 15 patrol cars cruising one subdivision for a couple of weeks. Maybe BRPD could pay this area of Gov't St. and surrounding special attention. I wonder if they thought of that, or is it really drive somewhere else.

That room temp IQ whore broome and her dumb as a rock yes man cum guzzler Paul would never, EVER, do a show of force against their own people. They are the exact same as the subhumans that are protecting the vile cockroach that shot the poor girl.
