I would look ready to fight and go to war. Hopefully that would be enough to have them back off. If not, oh well, someone going to get hurt.

I hear ya but those broke arse folks who act that way will try to sue you for torts these days. I have seen it. I would just leave if they wanted problems.

Nobody tough talks that much in that situation. I guess you can ask the dude if he’s only confident when his boyfriends are around. You’ll likely lose the fight since you’re outnumbered but you can inflict some serious damage at first.

If you can't deescalate, you run, if you can't run, you put your back toward a wall and make sure the first contact is extremely violent.

I would have had emotional control of the entire situation. First, I would have been smiling when I asked them to keep it down, so they would not have felt the need to do that. But if he did, he would have sensed my confidence early and would have deescalated. If he persisted it would have been fist city with indeterminant results.
And I’m speaking of me 20 years ago or more. Today a man that age could hit me in the nose three times before I got my dukes up.
