We may soon have 70 million boomers too old to drive, too car-dependent to stop.
As the baby boomer bubble pushes into its eighties, we are driving into a demographic wall.

Someone get this to the news and get it viral. People end up with much larger sums for far less. This guy needs enough to retire.

Agreed.

Let's get him a van and set him up so he can work and take care of his family as long as he desires, but because he Wants to

Not because he

Has to

Love to wake up to this update. Praying for both immediate help with the van and hopefullybsome longer term help that might be available out there for families with these kind of needs.

pisses me off foreign nationals can get off the boat and already have every scheme and program dialed in to start raking in more government benefits than they know what to do with, but an 86yo Baw been busting his arse for 70 years taking care of his family doesn’t have enough support where he can at least be at home helping changing his adult daughters diapers.

If US politicians aren’t on the fast track to burn for eternity, that’s only because there is no hell

So shameful

Unfortunately, he has never been good with making any substantial type of money. Often times the little money he makes just goes to get by and then any extra money he tithes towards Church.

WTF??? If you are poor, ask the church for help, don't give away any "extra" funds in the name of tithing. If you are in your 80's and still making poor financial decisions, don't beg for more funds to piss away with more bad decisions.

We've covered and addressed all this.

It's been remedied, no need to pile on the past poor decisions of an old man (though we could put some public screws on them to pony up to help someone that gave to them what he didn't have.)

This is a good cause, it's in good hands, and being taken care of by good, proven people now.

Not throwing tomatoes, just stating the obvious. Donated to the cause for a good guy, just hoping it doesn't get tithed away.

Hopefully he has some people, who know what they are looking at, helping him search for a good work van now. Be a good idea to search while raising the money.

I have multiple assurances it won't. That's why this was set up to get a vehicle, not just a big pot of money.

It's a tangible asset to give him

I'm looking with my resources, and I know BC is too.

Something has been found that would work under the initial small budget...but I think we can do better.

If BC gives me clearance on this, I can let people know more and we can have more eyes looking and searching.

Tell her to read it in Mista Robear's voice, BC

There's $3.50 in your pocket,
In your couch or on your floor,
Three bucks and some change is rockin'
But let's dig a little more,
You'd spend thirty five in drive-thrus,
But that won't fill up your soul,
Put three fifty somewhere better,
And help this old man to roll!

Well I've watched a lot of baseball,
And ain't paid for one game yet,
So when I start adding numbers,
We'll I'm really in his debt,
And so many Special Friends,
I bet they're a lot like me,
Think my cheddar serves him better,
I'll send my Three Fifty, Me.

Looks like it did.

Didn't get a message or anything. Could just be catching the wrong Admin

Someone else's turn. It's a worthy cause
