I've had Window World in both houses I've owned and no complaints here. They are a good quality window and their prices are relatively decent.

meh. the window world savings wasn't much actually when i compared to an actual quality window. window world surcharges the shite out of everything unordinary.

Is there a Pella Windows and Doors near you?
If so, go with them.

Carrier is okay, solid unit. Trane is top of the line by a wide margin though. I wouldn't touch Lennox with a 10' pole. Goodman is solid as well just cheaper unit and after 5 years may start having some issues.
AC prices have gone up tremendously the past 2 years. All announced another 10% increase starting February

We got window world on a house in old goodwood. The energy savings are legit, but honestly for a house we think we might own for decades if not forever, I regret not spending more on better looking windows. They’re double paned and sealed which is great but the finish and construction just doesn’t look good IMO.

Windows world. Cheaper, maybe less quality.
Neighbor jus replace his with their windows. Good quality windows. He told me they cost around $300 each installed. Life time replacement even if you break one. Those are for the top of their line.

What I have now. Got a couple that has leaked the gas and now fogs up now and then.

Read up on some reviews of your local Window World before you go with them, we used them a few years ago, it took something like 5 months, 7 trips/days off work because they'd never show up on time or even show up at all, multiple trips for them to measure, order the wrong size, have to remeasure, etc. All this to replace 7 windows total, customer service was shite and they were terrible to deal with.

How old are they? That's covered by warranty if you're within the time frame.

Ask him again quote. A quote we recently got was close to $500/window (10 windows).
How negotiable are their quotes?

Had to replace both evaporator and condenser on a 6 year old Trane. With warranty and 'discount' still cost me $1400. I had the service contract where they came out 2 times a year for checkups the entire time too. At this point, it would be hard to recommend Trane.

We recently replaced all of our windows (including 2 very large picture windows). I priced out several companies, and ended up using Champion. Their warranty couldn’t be matched (lifetime, no questions asked) and the warranty is transferable to the next homeowner. Expensive, but worth it IMO. Energy bill dropped 25-30% once the single pane windows were replaced.

Yep. Quality of service varies dramatically by locality as I've heard. I had a great experience with them.

I have insulated windows that have become foggy. I’m gonna go with regular windows on my place in the next year or so.

We had Milgard windows installed. I believe it's a lifetime warranty on the seals, etc.

May I ask about how much you paid?

He had the salesman come to his house, put a demo on with a heat lamp.
Neighbor had 17 windows they changed. Was under 6k for them. They had them changed out in less then 4 hours. Clean job, cause my neighbor is very anal.
My Pella windows are 21 years old. Don't think they will replace them or pay someone to install them even if they gave up new windows.
