Sir, I googled Ankor Lake dam and that’s what I got.
You think anyone in Pearl River County BFE Mississippi is naming something “Ankor”?
What’d you take them for? A bunch of Kampucheans?
It’s “Anchor Lake”.

Impossible to have a weather thread without a “lightening” appearance

Sounds like a cool name for a hot band, The Weather Report.
We shower you with the tunes.

There is actually a very famous jazz fusion band from the 70s with the name Weather Report.

TIL, this. I was born in 1981, so I have never heard of them.

I got 19 inches at my house yesterday. 28 in Plaucheville. May get another 2-5 today. Roll on the fricking summer of 2023 after these last couple weeks man.
Nothing drives me crazier about the weather here than the lack of moderation. Growing up in texas i was used to hot dry summers and weeks/months without rain. Over here we either get way too fricking much or nowhere near enough.

It was a 1 in 1,000 year event. Definitely not historic.

Everything is historic.
Scruffy will see you in a couple months when the next historic weather event occurs.

Well here in Avoyelles (idk if scruffy quit reading after “historic”) it most definitely was.
Hopefully a quiet summer
