DoTD says they “don’t know when it will reopen.” They are concerned that the fire got hot enough to compromise the bridge.

Sadly the view of a lot of LA residents is that i10 is the only east west road in the state

Yep.
They don’t realize you can take I-55 to Jackson MS then go west on I-20 to Shreveport then I-49 back to I-10.

Guess they don’t get the same $1 per mile reimbursement I get.

Jet fuel and diesel are both similar to kerosene.
