This.
Add all the cameras & radars they want on the Bridge to get every idiot driver in line, pun intended.
Maybe once everyone is trained how to drive correctly over the basin, we can get the left lane up to 70/75 mph speed limit.

And the assholes who squeeze in front of you from the right lane (causing everyone to suddenly break) when we are all waiting to pass a slow big truck.

AMEN! I would even allow ticket proceeds from the bridge to go toward their Vegas trips. That sob should be a speed trap that truckers from Jacksonville to Los Angeles know about.

Yea...that's a stretch I would have zero problems with a bunch of cameras and remote radars.

As well as the a-holes in other vehicles weaving in and out of traffic trying to get up to 75-80 mph. They are a huge cause of accidents as well.

The weaving is because frickers won't get out of the left lane.

I hated driving that stretch when I lived in Lafayette.

Until recently I spent almost an hour a day each way on the interstate and this was by far the biggest problem.
Truck or car in right lane going 70. Someone goes to pass and heaven forbid is only going 72-75 to pass. A line forms in the left lane.

Here comes trash in his Dodge Charger or plant baw in his truck cutting to the right lane to pass five cars and cut in with 3 ft between car in front of and behind him.
Screw this tard!

I saw on a notification this morning that they found a dead body under the wreck. When I first saw yesterday that the driver of the car walked away unharmed that was unbelievable, but can someone tell me why there are so many wrecks around this stretch on I10?

It has always been an area where wrecks involving 18 wheelers have occurred, but the past few years it seems like there had been more and more.

And that’s the reason to zig zag in and out between tight spaces causing the ones that are cut off to slam on their breaks.

I understand passing in the right lane when there’s enough space and someone is being a slow jackhole in the left lane. But weaving in and out between tight spaces is more moronic and more dangerous for everyone else.

always get scared when I see that a big truck wrecked on I-10 in that area. My cousin drives big trucks around those parts.

I just don’t understand why people don’t use that amazing thing called cruise control.

Because everyone doesn't cruise at the same speed?

Because it’s so hard to find a same speed pack. Hint.... it isn’t. I get about 5 mph over the speed limit and hit cruise within 30 seconds of hitting the interstate. Only time I ever have to take it off is when I get around traffic.

Your excuse is bullshite.

I've seen several times where people jump onto the shoulder and floor it to pass people

And what part of the interstate around the greater BR area doesn't have traffic?
Even on I-10 from Baton Rouge down to New Orleans in the evenings is hard as hell to maintain a good speed, especially on the spillway.

If you’re in traffic already, you aren’t causing an accident that closes the interstate for a day.

Excuses are like assholes. Everyone has them and they all stink. If more people utilized cruise control as well as proper spacing while in traffic you Would find traffic all but disappear.

But, hey, what do I know. Continue jockeying for the pole position and weaving in and out of traffic.

I'm with you on this. I'm the one who is pointing out that these people are assholes too.
