Remember how the cost of fuel made the prices of services and goods go up?

Why the hell are they still the same as when gas was 4 bucks a gallon then?
And why is motor oil so damn high?
This is starting to piss me off. If businesses are going to tie the inflation of their prices to the cost of fuel, then they should deflate with the cost of fuel as well.
Anywhere you know of that has brought their prices down on account of cheap gas?

See it a lot here at work. Many places added a fuel surcharge when prices were up... but its still there now that prices are way down.

Electricity and natural gas/Propane prices should be lower but those companies sure don't like to roll back rates do they?

When it comes to prices on goods and services, what goes up will not come down if people are still willing to pay.

That's what I've been saying for a while about airlines charging the fixed luggage price.

You have already shown you'll buy it at that price. No reason for them to drop the selling price. I think this is economics but I could be wrong.

Prices are set by demand.

this. if folks will pay the prices while still having to pay out the arse the pump, then they certainly can afford it when gas goes down. sucks as a consumer, but great for business.

Airlines are making a killing. Didn't they tie the luggage fees to extra weight and added fuel costs as well.

Just wait. When O&G goes up again it will give them another reason to inflate prices

What if we're talking about Entergy and I have no choice but to pay that price.

Airfares are pretty low, from my anecdotal experience.

Wages probably increased along with inflation.
Time for everyone to make less and minimum wage go back to $6
