It's pretty bad. We had to start sending out reminders monthly to NOT USE text abbreviations and emojis in professional medical emails.

Nothing new.

Kids who have never struggled in their lives and spent most online are socially retarded.

A lot of young people these days don’t seem to even try to LEARN things. Many have spent their entire lives since 12 years old or so with practically any and all knowledge at their fingertips. It’s scary to think what a cyberattack that takes the internet out for an extended period of time would do to our day to day lives.

I went to Hooters the other day, and this poor girl. I feel bad making fun of her because she was so.. she was having a hard time making it day to day with her combo of brains and also not very Hooters-fit appearance.

But when we went to pay, we didn't want to make it difficult on her so we just got one check and gave her 3 cards and said no need to split by item. Just divide the bill 3 ways between the cards (which the computer can do).

Girl came back 5 minutes later totally confused and we said.. "It's ok.. we don't need it split up by person. Just split the total bill between us"

She came back and my card had been run for $36, my friend for $31, and our other friend for $32. I guess she tried to do the math on her own?

I've never understood the hate for using Google.

If you work in IT and don't immediately Google an issue you're having I assume you are not very good at problem solving.

Further proof that math is hard.

It was super awkward early in my career having to walk into some 50 year old's office and tell him all the things they were doing wrong. It helped that my first client was in Baton Rouge so I could pronounce everyone's name and talk about sports

You only learn work skills by working. These kids probably never had a job before where they have to interact with customers beyond working behind a register.

This 100%

I always told those guy just because you've been doing it wrong for 25 years doesn't mean it's right because you have more experience, just means you've been wrong for 25 years

20-25 years ago, my Dad used to complain about cashiers getting confused when his total was $5.25 and he gave them $10.25. They didn't seem to understand that his change would be a round number.

That's actually not that surprising.
What're you using carbon paper for?

Plumber or pest control is my guess. Maybe an HVAC guy. Those are the only people I see use carbon paper
