I was in the passing lane making a pass when a vehicle moved over to the passing lane to let cars on the interstate (dumbass). The diver then proceeded to ride the passing lane with a speed of 60 MPH. I won't deny that I was tailgating and it's not even worth missing work to go contest the violation. My question is, is this a violation that will go on my insurance?

You deserved it, dick. I will intentionally slow down when someone tailgates me. It's especially irritating when going 5-10 mph above the speed limit and folks still think it's safe to tailgate.

If you had tailgated me I would have slowed down to 10mph and a complete stop if necessary to see if you wanted to stop to so we could discuss why you were up my arse.

If you do not move over to allow cars to merge you are the biggest POS on the interstate

Be careful when passing as you approach an interchange. It pens the traffic in the right lane and can create problems with merging traffic.

As previously stated I was making a passing move when she entered my lane and did not speed up or pass anyone.

You're one of those ones that doesn't get how it works, clearly. The "dumbass" here does...where is the person merging onto the interstate supposed to go then? Nevertheless, he should have gotten out of the left lane when he had room after all of this. Tailgating is dumb though.

Exactly. OP seems to think the left lane is some safe haven from the speed limit. It's not hard to have some situational awareness and understanding. It may be frustrating to get slowed down on the interstate, but your number one goal every damn time you're on the interstate should be for you and everyone else to get to their destination without a wreck.

Being a dick because someone is going too slow doesn't make you any better of a driver than the slow/ignorant driver ahead of you. It just makes you a dick.

If you were tailgating me I would first spray the windshield wipers to let you know you were passing me off. Second time I spray it then brake check your arse half a second later.

That said if the right lane was open and the dirtbag was not moving over then I would be pissed if I were you as to why they didn’t get the ticket for sitting in the passing lane. Ultimately the cop dash cam should vindicate you if they were in the wrong.

But yeah- your insurance finna eat with that increased premium

Aren't they supposed to yield?

Traffic on the freeway has the right of way. There is no law that requires a driver occupying the right lane on the freeway to move over, slow down or take any other action to let a merging vehicle on the freeway.

you think 5mph over the speed limit is enough to ride in the left lane? the PASSING/FAST lane? Right lane is for slower traffic. YOU are the slower traffic. Get in the right lane.
