Called in at the hardware store I worked at in college to go get hammered...

I talked to my supervisor told her I was sick...thought I hung up and told my buddies..."I am off now time to get rocked"

a few minutes later i "missed a call" from work and got a VM from the owner telling me to be at his office at 8am the next day and bring my store keys and badge.

as you can imagine it was a shite show the next morning...a month after they fired me they called me back and asked me if i wanted to come back...HA

Girl that liked me and the feeling was not mutual told boss I sexually harassed her. With no proof, nobody else’s input or even my side of the story, boss fired me on the spot. As a 17 year old kid I didn’t press the issue. Had I known then what I know now, I’d sue the shite out of their asses.

WAY back in the day (1983) when long distance calls were expensive...

Friend/college roommate at LSU and I worked parttime as sales people at the old D.H. Holmes at Bon Marche Mall. He figured out how to access their long distance phone system, so he started making calls to friends back in New Orleans and at college in other states when he had no customers and was bored on the job. He shared the system with me, and I made a few calls as well, but not nearly as many as he did. He quit going to work when the store started calling all the numbers he had called, and asking those on the other line if they knew him; I stupidly went into work and was interrogated in an office by the store manager and a security person. I tried to put all the blame on my friend, but as he wasn't there, they made me pay for ALL the calls and fired me. Got the money back from my friend, at least.

Happened on Halloween afternoon, 1983.

I was never officially fired but my hours were taken away in an incredibly bitch move that infuriated me to relive.

I put in my schedule that I couldn’t work due to school functions during thanksgiving. I had told one of the managers, marked it on my calendar, and told them I was going to be out of town for most of that week. They put me down anyway. Never called me or anything. Just let me know next time I went in that my hours had been rescinded. The bitch had been looking for a reason to remove me because she hated me and that was her way.

They also told me they didn’t owe me any money. A few months later, one of the assistant managers told my mother they had a check for a few hundred dollars that I was owed.


Those frickers also never paid me overtime. Still pissed. I complained to my parents because I was working like 60 hours a week and my parents did t give one shite.

I was a porter at a car dealership. Went to a Friday night party, had work the next morning. Walked into work hungover, saw a Dodge Durango parked in spot by the detail bay. Opened the back passenger door, climbed inside and took a nap. Got woken up to the sales dude showing the vehicle to a young couple. Acted as if I was on the phone and exited the vehicle. Bout a few hours later I was fired for sleeping on the job.

Got high with the bosses daughter and drank all his beer in his barn

I ziptied all the shopping carts together at OfficeMax. People started grabbing hand baskets, I ziptied all those frickers together.

I got fired from a part time job in college for doing a shitty job and not giving a shite. When they called me in I pulled the ole “you can’t fire me I quit.” Then I got a job making twice as much.
