re: Reasons You Were Fired from Part Time Jobs in High School and College

Never been fired, but I’ve quit with no notice a few times. First time was in high school, 16 years old. I was working at Sonic and blue oyster cult was playing at contraband days. Second time was in college working at the TTL Deaf Relay over off of bluebonnet. They scheduled me to work during the 2006 LSU/Arkansas football game even though I told them I would not work during any football game. I worked the first half of my shift, took my lunch 30 minutes before kickoff and never went back. I’ve had an employer quit on me too. I worked at Damon’s in Citiplace as a busboy in 2003. Closed up one night, went back to work the next morning and the front doors were chained shut. They shuttered the restaurant and the managers were too chicken shite to tell any of the employees. That was an infuriating way to find out I didn’t have a job.
