Ouch. I thought they were only releasing non-violent inmates due to covid?

He just wanted to get Wendy’s. And he only had 1.5 daiquiris. Or margaritas. He only grabbed the taser because he knew he would be shot anyway.

The police handled the situation perfectly too. Dude is a jackass and had it coming for what he did. Could have easily been alive if he just complied.

I'm not saying that the cops aren't wrong in some of these cases but I'll also never understand why people want to make martyrs out of pieces of shite.

It makes a convenient excuse to loot and destroy shite.

They know privileged white people will fall over themselves trying to justify it.

I understand why you shared this as it explains why his demeanor changed

I just never really get that interested in rap sheets in situations like this

The dude could have been a pastor for 30 years - if you point a weapon at cops then you're probably gonna get shot.

I hate it, as it could have easily been avoided. But as things stand now, I don't know what could have been done differently.

How are all the case numbers the same across a year of crimes? How did he commit a crime in March 2013, for which he was sentenced 7 years, and then committed a crime in March 2014, for which he was sentenced 7 years?

You should consider being interested in this one. If he was released from prison due to Covid concerns, why was a violent felon released for that reason, when the citizens were insured only non-violent inmates would be considered for release due to Covid concerns?

It is likely that this guy should not have even been out of prison.

Because in the context of the incident itself it doesn't really matter.

It's only used for building a narrative for or against after the fact.

CNN will just cut to the part where the cop shoots him without any context and have Don Lemon and Chris Cuomo shedding crocodile tears on air over how bad cops are.

The later one may have been a charge he picked up while in prison.

I agree all that is interesting. Like I said, I understand why OP shared this.

But as for whether any of that helps determine if it was a good shoot or not? Nah, none of that is relevant.
