I predict in the near future police have to start having arrest negotiations much like hostage situations.

If he would have kept running away and not turned and shot the taser, he would be alive.

The same idiots in this thread saying ‘it’s just a taser’ are the same ones that advocated against the use of it because it was potentially deadly.

No doubt. That’s beside the point.

This situation is not as black and white (no pun intended) to me as it is some of you.

The part that will never be proven that I actually believe is the dude probably thought he had a gun in his hand and not a taser. Drunk, adrenaline running, the thing feels enough like a gun in your hand for someone to make that mistake in his state of mind.

Not that it matters ultimately.

That may have worked better considering they couldn’t physically handle one drunk man.

I guess you believe cops shouldn’t even carry guns at all.

They should just talk it out with thugs that want to kill them or inflict harm upon them?

At what point do we have authority anywhere anytime?

I mean, sure, let’s just allow a drunk, released inmate, to grab what’s available off a cop to shoot him with it, and run away, after being in a position to kill innocent people on the roadway, drunk driving his vehicle.

You are a fricking problem as big as those who present clear danger to society.

That’s because you are an idiot.

Those officers spent 30 minutes being total professionals.

They then specifically say put your hands behind your back. I’m going to cuff and arrest you because you are too drunk to drive.

The perp immediately starts fighting, while being told numerous times to stop fighting. Steals a taser, runs but clearly shoots and hits the cop with said taser knocking the cops gun to the ground. The cop then falls onto the hood of a car due to the taser.

His backup shoots to kill.

That’s the facts, and it is on video. GFY

Legit shooting, legit thug down, Darwin clearly at work.

Stop embarrassing yourself.

Agreed. That's where it has to start. On BOTH sides.

No... it is the point. He turned around and was attempting to use a weapon vs the cop.

How is that beside the point? It’s actually the point that should end the discussion.

The wifey's ex husband is literally one of the top 3 dumbest frickers ive ever met in my life. He also has a God complex. Know what he used to do??? GPT police! And that's the ones you're going to attract until something changes.

For the record, he was fired for being a shitty cop. Lost some evidence (weed) from a stop and didn't report it. Then come court day...
