As much as I love seeing the mighty Viper, I just don’t understand how you mix it up with an F-15.

In his defense, even the AF's Public Affairs constantly posts the wrong aircraft image for articles all the time. Hell, they've even put up pictures of Russian SU-27s before on an article that was talking about F-15s.

Man those F-15's are getting old. Too bad they aren't known as the Coon arse Militia anymore.

Would rather Louisiana State Guard. (LAexit)

The National Guard does belong to the State. Unless federalized, they are under the control and direction of the LA Governor.

It's in the name...National...not Louisiana. It ain't ours.

It counts as part of their mandatory training.
It is not a waste of resources.

You do realize, of course, (or maybe you don’t) that flyover is not just ceremony. There has to be very close coordination for the pilots to fly over Tiger Stadium at the exact moment. As a former member of the Louisiana National Guard, this is a training mission in addition to a celebration of our country and our state.
