Beautiful creature
You're a lucky guy
I really hope "permanently relocated" means that you relocated him to a place where he'll be safe from humans.

Why is that thing still slithering?

Co-exist on…, I suppose!

It's just a snake. No need to be irrational. You saw it before it bit.

We have them here too. They are the one and only thing that I will kill on sight. Big one here in Florida and the babies love to get in your garage.

Common in Scottsdale.
That snake wasn't looking for shade under your bike. He's wanting warmth from that cement driveway.
I miss living there.
Check out Apache Lake on Apache Trail a mid September dawn. The road is black from gazillions of tarantulas migrating for mating season

Buddy that lives in Charlotte is indiscriminate. Says he won’t kill any when he’s in their realm but those in his have to die.

Got to witness that in TX panhandle a couple years ago. Wasn’t as pronounced a movement last year. It’s disgusting to roll your windows down and listen to the crunching under the tires. Anyway, saw 4 rattlers the other day turkey hunting. See more during dove season.

Good it has been permanently relocated. It's a Western Diamondback Rattlesnake, and every bit as deadly as it is defensively aggressive. They've been taking pot shots at hikers and bicyclers near Rte. 101 in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties in California. Last season's wildfires and recently exposed terrain have brought them in direct contact with humans.

Javelina is in the pig family but that picture has an uncanny resemblance to an opossum

Growing up in west Texas that was our rule.

Grew up in a cotton field with deer, hogs, snakes, coyotes, and turkey that we saw regularly.

Hogs, coyotes, and snakes were fine as long as we didn’t find them at the house.

Lots of dead rattlesnakes that liked our front porch.

I miss west Texas but the one I do not miss is shaking out your shoes every morning for scorpions.
