Give myself a solid 6. I get distracted easily but can always get some extra work done when everyone is asleep.

Ready for this to be over but wouldn't mind little mixture being the new normal.

2.5

Way too many distractions at our home currently. If school/daycare/family was able to assist. Might be a different story.

10, but I've been doing it for 15 years. It's not for everyone and it's not without problems, but I could never go back to an outside office.

I'd say I'm about a 4, but I'm a 2 at the office so my company should consider it a win

I give myself an 8. Not really more or less productive than I normally am, but I’ve had to work harder to focus more with the kids being here.

I miss it being completely quiet during the day while they’re at school.

Pretty terrible right now to be honest, and I WFH a lot. It's just very different these days with the kids and lack of anything to look forward to.

I still get work done, it's just more challenging.

2-3 to answer the question.

ive done contracts from home.

nowadays you can get programming contracts, work at home.

my "disciplines":
at desk by 10. really working.
no marijuana until whatever goal i have for day is met.

since you have to ship the work to get paid and you want another contract, you give it what it takes.

im old but no one cares.
you could be on mars as long as your wifi is good.

one more thing. there is software now so you can see the other persons work.
teamwork is a key element and its easy to set up.

just like if you have best buy warranty. dude takes over and your cursor goes where he wants.

ive got fb friends who code from cebu for koreans.

I've been far more productive without people constantly interrupting me with needless meetings that could be handled via email or asking questions they could more-quickly Google the answer to themselves. Also, the lack of having to fight through traffic for 30-60 minutes twice a day has not only given me extra time to get work done (see: productivity) but also makes me less surly overall.

7 - I don't have young kids anymore so I don't find the distractions to be a big issue. Mine is a typical teenager that stays in her room most of the day. I can imagine young kids would be a challenge.

I've always hated teleworking. I really like having separate physical spaces for "work" and "home." It helps me keep those two facets of my life separate from each other.

That being said, I've gotten used to it much more quickly than I thought I would (as I sit here browsing TD )

I’d say an 8...I get about the same amount done as when I am at the office, but have to work a whole lot harder to do it.

I give myself a 10.
But the only teleworking I have been doing is berating a few random AT&T employees/customer service reps who are completely incompetent and void of any ability to problem solve if it isn't written in their fricking notebook!
I hate AT&T.

A 9. I'm good at working from home, could never work in an office again.
