re: Rate your immediate neighbors

1 neighbor is retired Col and do not see much of him or his wife due to them traveling. His wife is originally from Greece and he has family in Ireland so they bounce between the 2 often. Good guy and is starting to have some memory issues. Between our neighbor accross the street and myself we keep his lawn in order and he returns the favor when home. Grade: A

My neighbor to the other side is laid back, friendly and likes to have a good time. He's retired CIA (logistics) and moved here 3 years ago from Alexandria VA. (and in case you were curious, he is not a fan of the current CIC or his party and 1 of the main reasons they left VA. Said people in his old neighborhood were mentally soft).
3-4 times a week we sit outside, drink a few beers and chill. Played golf a few times and he has a Son a year younger than ours and they too play golf when home from College.

Living in the boonies, i have woods on three sides. The only neighbors I can see are the son's houses next to my farmer neighbor's house. We go visit w all of them weekly, they come to parties, they've helped us a ton since we moved in.

We bring each other food regularly and generally watch out for each other. And my wife is the neighborhood nurse who helps out w would care, emergencies, etc. They don't take vacations so they are always available to watch our pets.

One side i think may be in witness protection. White guy with mexican name. Other side normal 30’ish couple, 2 kids. Across the street two fat gay guys from alabama, with a 2 year old daughter ( by surrogate) and another kid due in nov. they hate my vote republican sign in my yard......

I don't have neighbors. From outside my house, you can look around 360 degrees and not see a building, tree or blade of grass that isn't mine.

6 to my left. He is cool. Works for an airline in baggage management. They fly him all over the country to fix broken systems. He is chill and is a good guy. However, he has a BIL with two kids living with him. The kids are great but he has two yap yap dogs that drive my dogs crazy. Every time they are let out they bark and squeal. How did this deserve a downvote? I said one neighbor is cool but has a crappy housemate. The other side has moved away and have kept the house.

To my left, Preacher Man and his Church Daycare working wife get a C. When I first moved into this neighborhood 12 years ago, he wanted to make a good impression and tell me he owned rental property in Dothan. Like I care. Their kids have all left, they're in their 60's I'd say. Nice but don't go out of their way to speak. They leave their flood lights turned on all night, every night, for the last 12 years. I don't know if they're scared of me or the devil. He also wouldn't help me out with a drainage issue the house on his left created. His house sits higher than mine on a hill and the one on his left sits even higher. I offered to pay for half to widen his driveway and to have a tall berm to direct the water away from my house. He wouldn't do it so I went to plan B and dug a ditch behind my retaining wall and poured concrete to channel the water away from my house.

The neighbors on my right get an A. They're the newest in the cul-de-sac. Good dogs, good college aged kids, no noise issues, good neighbors overall. I just wished he'd do something to upgrade all the shite he comes over to my house to ask me about after I've done a project. I got new windows, here he comes. New deck, here he comes. New sod, here he comes. Dude spend some money and quit asking me what I spent.

One side is a Sheriff and the other side is a McDonald's District Manager. Across the street is a fireman.

I speak maybe 50 words a year to each one. We all keep to ourselves
