Donate it to Ukraine. They definitely need some more American money.

It really isn't that difficult but there is always potential to run into frustration.

Inflation has done a number on the parts and tools but I have always recommended people interested in watchmaking to the Timezone watch school. You learn to disassemble and reassemble a movement then case it. So you really do build your own watch. Most people start with a ETA 6497 so the parts are larger and it is about the easiest movement to build. There are several other good ones that have popped up in the last couple of years. It really does require some ernest interest in watchmaking but it is one of those things to keep in mind.

Just to have a rec (hard to get anything under $500 anymore so I stretch). I really like the NTH Devilray with the GMT, there are a ton of colors and you can get it without the GMT.

Different colorway in the no date.

Have a different nth off of the watch club spin the wheel thing.

The diy self watch I looked at was glorified modding they give you pieces that fit together and tools

I didn't see anything I loved though.

You might want to consider donating some of it to Dolly's Imagination Library for your home county or parish.

They are all independent and the books go to children in your parish to encourage them to learn to read.

Take your wife to a fancy restaurant, followed by a mini shopping spree with what's left. Or maybe get a topflight hotel room for the night and enjoy each other's company.
