That’s cool but I just can’t get into the muscle truck thing.
16-22 year old me would have rocked the shite out of this. Current me would need roomier interior.

The rumble bee (1st one) has very unimpressive power. That's basically what all Rams with 5.7 hemis put out.

Agreed.
The Raptor and Raptor R, as well as the Bison and Power Wagon have real (even if never used) real-world use cases. Muscle trucks are just a modestly quick vehicle that gets outgunned in acceleration, turning, and stopping fairly easily by a car with any level of performance.

Exactly. There is a small place in my heart for gen 1 lightnings but it’s all nostalgia rather than performance.

The more I get to know the predator engine the more I like it.

Along with a targeted top speed of 170 mph, Ram claims its most powerful muscle truck will hit 60 mph in 3.4 seconds and complete the quarter-mile in 11.6 seconds at 116 mph.
The top level one is very fast. Let’s not pretend that this is modestly quick.

if chevy would put an OG 350 in the midsize pickup I'd be all over it.

Wonder if they will have the active fuel management garbage.

That SRT motor would be cool but not in yellow with the bee on it. Maybe they bring back the trackhawk.

Will it get me across the Mississippi River bridge faster?

I can hear the interior plastic rattles just thinking about it

I doubt anyone is crosd-shopoing those two, but I agree.

Can’t think of anything trashier than a ‘themed’ truck.

Not sure, dont think they do for this lineup
My first truck was extended cab. I'll never own an extended cab again.

I remember a lot of people underestimating my friends' Gen 1 and Gen 2 Lightnings back in the day. Lot of butthurt C5 Corvette, F-body, and Mustang owners. Today the concept would have to be done with a mid-size truck, full-sizes are too bloated.
