Raising Cane isn’t getting rich off me.I ate it once a couple years ago, never been back.
People raving about the sauce,I didn’t care for it.

Y’all really have me questioning myself. Wasn’t Bailey’s at Lee and Highland and Canes by the Chimes? Either way, Bailey’s was so good.

Every time I think of canes I think about the summer after graduating HS. I was already 18 and was going out. One night we were out around LSU and one of my friends was like "they have this new chicken finger joint right outside the north games on Highland". It was 10.. 12 of us (give or take a few, I just remember people all met up". It was right after 2AM. There is line outside that went past that bike shop.
I had been drinking and I was probably hungry which played a factor, but I just remember it being so good that when I woke up the next morning, me and someone I went out with went back. Then they opened up another location on the corner of... Lee & Highland? There was another chick finger place right across the street from it.
But as canes started to expand the quality changed. I will still go every once in awhile and I am glad to see them grow to where they are..

They have a Canes right across the street near me. I like them but prefer the Lords chicken. That slice of tomato they put on their sandwich makes me like I did something healthy.

Pretty sure the last time I ate Canes was in 2019 when the new store opened in North Platte NE when I was working in that area. I legitimately haven't bothered since.

They recently opened one where I live in Illinois. It was a traffic problem the first week it was open because of enormous, fifty-plus vehicle lines to the drive thru were backing up into the major thoroughfare of the town. It’s good if you’re a kid or coming down off a liquor bender or something but honestly it’s B- food.
Hm, I wonder if we live near each other.

I think I'm the only person that gets the sandwich but I love that thing.
Ordering an extra toast or two, cutting into it like a hot dog bun, and stuffin a finger with some sauce and a fry or three is
It's the bread/sauce combo for me.

1 billion Jell-O shots is the winning post, not even close

I don't get the hype with this place. We've had them in KY for a long time now and frankly it's just not very good.
If all you're going to serve is chicken tenders, they'd best be the greatest tenders I've ever had. They are not. Not even close.

I, and my girlfriend at the time, were the first customers at Cane's. Our picture is on the wall of every restaurant worldwide (though you can't see my face...just my white shirt and my hair)
Dude. That’s awesome.

As usual, the groupthink tigerdroppings brain trust is smarter and more savvy than the rest of the population on this topic.

The sandwich they have on the menu is terrible I have no idea why anyone would order that thing. But I do love making the sandwich out of the toast. I even put some of the fries and coleslaw on it and cover it all in the sauce
