Well, if we would go back to the tax rates we used to have, before republicans fricked all of us, we would be able to fund SS and Medicare and Medicaid.

You have no idea how SS, Medicare and Medicaid is funded.

I say we go back to the historic SS tax rates.

Let’s go all the way back to its origins.

1% on the first $3k.

$30

Count me in.

Not everybody is going to join; but there is a viable path to get a solid degree without running up any debt. One that the Boomers did by the millions. The tuition inflation doesn’t seem to impact what the military will pay

Some of us joined to serve the country, a point that seems lost on a lot of people posting in this thread.

frick you, I got mine. No, not the deal for some of us.

It’s funny to see someone lack so much self awareness. You’re a fricking imbecile and you’re describing yourself and you don’t even know it

Getting to page 67 before Oweo making an unwelcome appearance is more impressive than anything anyone in this thread has done career wise

I said TAX RATES, look them up.

Back in the day, the wealthy paid a whole helluva lot more than they do now.

The downward trend started with Ronnie.

But look back to this nation's golden era. Ike.

What does that have to do with Social Security?

That has zero to do with Social Security or Medicare/Medicaid.

once again, hatred for Oweo posts on the OT, have proven to be the middle ground in divisive threads.

eta: just an idea: lock Putin, Zelensky, and Oweo into a concrete bunker with no windows for 72 hours. My prediction is they would take out Chris and walk out holding hands in agreement to end the Russia/Ukraine War.

Im an older millennial, and i get it. Work/life balance. Makes no sense to go above and beyond and put in more hours than is needed.

This..I work my arse off during office hours and when there is something for me to complete... but my company has this boomer show-offish workaholic culture I just dont participate in.

Every year there is a weird unspoken contest to see who can be in their office the latest on Christmas eve...why?? frick that. I work to spend time with the family I provide for.

We should not be using general fund money to fund SS and Medicare.
