Thats literally what they are expected to do. If you want them to do more, be prepared to pay for it.
If it’s not in their job description, they shouldn’t be expected to do it.
If you job at McDonalds is to work as a cashier, it would help to talk to customers, be in a good mood, help out others, etc...bare minimum ain't cutting it at my workplace. Sorry if you accept mediocracy

Do you pay the bare minimum?

It was the 1970s/80s, man. You could just plant a flag bearing your family's sigil in the ground and it was yours.

They really couldn’t, especially while working full time, attended college Men? frick yes. Many just refuse to make the necessary sacrifices of their time to do so.
You seem to lack any respect for tradespeople and the amount of time and skills required to build a home. To you it’s something, all of it, any person can do on their spare time after reading a few books.

Oh, I see your point. I restated it succinctly a few pages back. You’re just wrong.
The comment I love the best is “I couldn’t work in college like you did because it was so expensive, and that’s why I have so much debt.”
First, I had debt even though I worked. Second, you’d have less debt if you’d worked. Third, not a single one of y’all lived in the shitholes we did (because they were cheap). You pissants couldn’t have survived the stairs, heat, and asbestos in West Stadium.

Roger is just a Renaissance man. He claims to have two degrees, one being economics, built a house in his early 20s by hand and by himself, has two places in Alaska, raised a family, et, etc.
And still found time to be an alcoholic

Give me the 1980s or even the 1990s and I’ll gladly take your 18% APR with 20% down.
Then you suck at math and don’t have a clue about the reverse amortization we had.
After a year, you owed more than when you bought the house.

Some people live like that NOW because it's all they can AFFORD. There is no getting through to you people. You will die in full denial of reality. No doubt complaining about how the people taking care of you are lazy and entitled.

False. I lived 3.5 years in a tent getting mortars tossed on the regular.

Millennials are checking out because boomers like you completely fricked up everything.
Not once ever in the history of humanity has a generation pilfered away everything for their immediate enjoyment at the cost of future investment for their children.

Please.
Back in your day a brand new car and college tuition could all be paid for working a summer job.
Please see yourself out.

They show up and do their job and that's it. Will not engage with the public, on the phone when on break, remain anti-social, and will not do anything outside their job description.

You think we were just slumming it because it was cool?
I know a dude who lived in a place on Chimes without indoor plumbing. He snuck into dorms to shower.

Yeah. Let’s throw down on it and we will see.
You adapt or you die. Those of us who succeeded adapted. Y’all can’t seem to do that.

It's like ya'll are just completely incapable of understanding the point.
No, I think that's how you got your start and had endless opportunity ahead of yourself. That's how people live now, not start. Because there is no opportunity for a lot.

Yeah, it's real hard to adapt when the economy is going in your favor. Now the bill for that is coming due.

quote:again, no one gives a frick what you did. I don’t have any debt because I got TOPS and my parents covered the rest. That doesn’t mean I can’t see the clear and obvious truth that is going to college is significantly more expensive for kids now than it was for you. The work you did put a much bigger dent in the total cost than kids working through college today. It’s sImple economics.

Great straw man btw
