Keep in mind Arizona has relatively lax restrictions/suggestions when it comes to home gatherings compared to states like CA so what would be considered the threshold of invitees for an indoor/outdoor party (Saturday night)? There will be live music playing in the backyard/pool area so many will be gathering there and not inside. Neighbors have been invited and given their blessings so not worried there.

Get hammered.

Fingerbang the boss’s wife on the QT.

Socially distancing appropriately, of course.

I would invite whoever I wanted to attend, without a limit, but if you’re wanting to be concerned about COVID, then you really didn’t include enough information. How are we supposed to know how big your backyard is?

The only limit I would worry about is how many is too many to provide alcohol for.

Seriously, do what you want. I'm not sure what kind of answers you are expecting here.

No one has balked but a couple have brought up the Covid issues and says they may not make it because they are traveling over the holidays to see their families and do not want to potentially expose their elderly relatives, which I respect and agree with. One person made the comment "aren't you worried about all those people in your house and putting guests at risk?"- which prompted this post. I've told everyone if you feel uneasy don't come and most have been good with it. I've already had Covid and a couple others have mentioned they have as well, I guess I'm just wondering if I'm being irresponsible with a sizable guest list.

Sizable house and sizable backyard (1 acre lot).

Why would you think you're being irresponsible? People can make their own decisions to attend or not attend.

If people start being critical of you having the party, tell them to stay the frick home and mind their own goddamn business.

Since you asked, I think you are being irresponsible.

Seems like it's up to you dude.

Seems like those who would go to a party like this are probably unlikely to have serious illness from COVID, but if you're worried about it or down the line stuff from people who attend - it's your peace of mind.

I don't see how that is a brag. The OT spends most of it's time bitching about neighbors.
