Are the beach community residents all bent out of shape and being pissy about us coming that way?
Went to Bay St Louis yesterday to sit on the beach and go spend some money that the bars and restaurants. Saw to people acting the arse about La people being there.

If I lived in South Mississippi, I'd be pissed about living in South Mississippi.

I wouldn't give two shits about who is coming to share in my misery.

I’m sure there are some. There will always be some people mad about any situation.

I bet most people love the out of state money being pumped in to the local economy

I haven’t heard anything hostile about Louisiana people vacationing on the coast.

Lived over there a few years. Never heard a lot of I’ll feeling toward LA folks. Hell half the people in Hancock County are LA transplants.

Did you put up a sign where you were sitting saying you were from Louisiana? How would they know the difference?

Bruh, you live in Gramercy.

You're just in a South Mississippi that's a little bit closer to New Orleans.

Nah. It started with the normal trash being aggravating on the beach. They might have be La people for all I know.

I drive back toward old town and parked to walk over to get a beer. Inbred looking redneck comes by in a POS Jeep yelling at all the La license plate cars to go back to La.

10 minutes later I get in the car and head west on the beach road and get behind two young women in a golf cart going 12 MPH. The fat one on the passenger side is checking every car and making a gun shooting gesture at each one with a La plate. I followed them for a mile or so before I could pass and it kind of pissed me off.

It's generally acceptable to be an arse about trashy people invading your beach.

Somewhat ironic that a thread about people wanting to leave where they are to go enjoy south MS are making fun of south MS. Guess it explains just how bad it is where you are from.

What was that man lift for by Cuz’s?

Old people are always bent out of shape. I’ve seen the rumblings, but we’re always nice to visitors.

I've lived all over New Orleans (including ooh! ooh! Mandeville and ooh! ooh! Uptown) and Atlanta (city proper as well as Dunwoody), and the Mississippi Gulf Coast is one of the best places I've ever lived. You have a lot of the good things about New Orleans, like shite to do and 24-hour bars, but there's a certain lack of pretense that's really a breath of fresh air. Mississippi Gulf Coast is also safer and cleaner- on average - and maybe even better-run.

I've lived on the MS gulf coast for almost 4 years now. The rest of my life was in Louisiana.

I'm much happier here in south Mississippi.

Better quality of life, cheaper housing, better schools, less traffic, less crime, nicer people.

With all due respect, the only time I spend near the Mississippi coast is on the way to Orange Beach or even better, Florida. We do usually stop at the Gulfport exit Chick-fil-A though. Hopefully that's not too big of a problem.

Its called Hancock Parish for a reason.

A great majority of both Hancock and Harrison County are transplants or are descendants of transplants.
