I realize that this question applies to 99.6% of the OT: are you trying to save your money now or are you spending to in an effort to support your local economies?

This does not apply to me bc I’m a poor. Just curious how you ballers are handling your money during this shitshow fauxdemic.

Saving. I’ve never had this much money. With everything closed I am hardly spending any money.

Where are you allowed to spend except online and big boxes?

Good luck to the locals I guess.

Spending a little less.
Maybe $150/week or so less.

We’ve put off a few home improvement projects just to hold onto some acorns while this all shakes out.

Spending pretty close to the same other than no aftercare bill for school.

I've spent over $1000 on work clothes alone during this quarantine. and I haven't put a pair of pants in in nearly 2 weeks. I have too much time (and an expanding waistline) to not be blowing money on stupid stuff. I'm now in the middle of redoing the garage. definitely not saving.

I’m spending and saving. Definitely not spending as much as before, because I can’t. There’s nothing to buy.

We aren't eating out and aren't using gas like we usually do. We were about to start building a house, so we pumped the brakes on that for a little bit. But otherwise we haven't been hording our money, though we haven't been going through it either.

My wife is having to make a list of best, worse, and really bad case scenarios for work, including identifying who to cut and all if things don't turn around by the middle of the summer. That has her all worked up and both of us a little nervous about the economy.

I’ve spent a shite ton of money tbh.

Assembled a home gym and done a whole lot of home improvement projects.

Saving on gas (used a quarter tank in two months), dry cleaner for work clothes, gym dues, restaurant meals, and haircuts. That and just fewer trips to Lowe's and such has my monthly credit card bills lower than in years.

Spending on some home improvement projects. Many folks are painting and such themselves, but I'm actually working all day from home, so I've hired out two jobs.

The first three weeks I was spending like crazy to try and help the local restaurants and bar and grill kind of places.

Then it hit me that I might lose my job so I’ve cut way back

Trying to spend money where I can. My work has remained steady so I’m not worried about my income. Haven’t went anywhere for fun since nothing’s open.

I'm trying to support the small businesses as much as possible. Pretty much eat lunch out of the house as I do most days from work.
