She kept it and that was small price to pay to get out of that hell.

She kept hers, I took mine to a pawn shop and bought liquor and weed with what I got for it.

sold it to get nice tits for the next guys.

And they were a big improvement, but still not enough to put up with her for long.

I let the ex keep the ring, we had a handshake deal for her to keep it and repurpose the diamond into a piece for our daughter. I think she pawned it within six months.

My ring sat in a drawer for years until I came across it one day and threw it away.

Both my ring and his ring were in my jewelry box. One day his was gone. I absolutely believe he broke in, stole it,and pawned it. Mine is still there. Gold is climbing so it can stay there.

Don't know what happened to my ex's, since I've never laid eyes on her since the morning I woke up and she was gone.

Mine got stuck in a cigar box with some collectible coins and old duck stamps. About 2 months ago I saw the price of gold and dug it out and took it to a jeweler. Got about tree fiddy for it.

I smashed it with a hammer and put it on her dresser and threw mine out the window on i10. Mine was titanium.

I have it cleaned in the original box. I am planning to give it to our son later in life, he can repurpose the diamonds if he'd like.

Sadly, the courts view the rings as gifts

Women really do get cutthroat when it is over. If I ever get married I have a nice one thst is a family heirloom. It would be in the prenuptial that it comes back to me

The agreement was that she is supposed to keep it to give to our Son when he's ready. I can't wait to see if she actually delivers on that agreement because she's the most money hungry person I've ever met. I would be absolutely shocked if she hasn't sold it at this point.

Her’s was an heirloom on her side so she kept it, obviously. She also kept the piece that was custom made to fit around the ring for the wedding day, of course

Mine… it was tungsten and I chucked it in the trash. Perfectly symbolic of the person I married.

In Louisiana the engagement ring is a gift conditioned upon marriage. Once married, it’s hers and it’s her separate property.

ETA: If you don’t get married, the condition has not been fulfilled and you get the engagement ring back.
