Only an issue during road trips
Uhhh, I've seen some of the locations they install these stations at. I hope you carry.

OP is probably one of those trashy “buys fish from HEB” types.
Thinks loafers look cool too.

I rode from BR to Atlanta in a Tesla 3. We had to stop 3 times to charge (you only get about 200 miles on a 15 min charge at a super charger). WIith the stopping and charging, that added another hour to the drive. Plus the 3 supercharger stops still cost around $35.
frick that.
So you don't own a model 3 but rented one for a long distance road trip? Long distance road trips are the biggest drawback to EVs. You utilized one in the worst scenario possible and are bitching about it? You should be bitching about your own decision making.

The best data at present suggests a Tesla would optimistically lose 18-20% in the same frame.
Where are you getting that from? I've been using PowerWalls as a HALT for the cars, then comparing back to gen 1 model S and i'm not seeing anything that high except for a few outliers that live on Superchargers and range anxiety.

Who "drives around" to find a gas station? They're not unicorns, they're everywhere. And what kind of gas stations do you frequent? You live in the ghetto, baw?

I rode from BR to Atlanta in a escalade for Christmas. We had to stop for gas twice, both times I went in the gas station and got snacks and took a piss. Added 30 minutes to our trip. Didn't give a frick, it's nice to stretch your legs and life isn't a race.
The reason I don't own an EV is because it's better to have a vehicle you can work on yourself. Maybe it's just a personal thing but I like knowing the ins and outs of how my shite runs, rather than having a button tell me to take it to the tesla dealership to have it serviced

Baw you do realize that more affluent areas have LESS gas stations right? The ghetto has plenty

This is the problem with the EV debate. You have people on both sides spouting off ridiculous claims, and it doesn't do anyone any good. EVs have many limitations currently and are absolutely not for everyone. For those lifestyles that they do indeed fit, they are amazing vehicles.
I just bought a 2023 Mitsubish G4 with 3400 miles on it for $15K tax, title and dealer fees. Edmunds projects the 5 year cost to own at a little under $23,000 (that reflects a resell value of about $5000 which is probably not realistic in my area). The same Edmunds 5 year cost to won for a 2023 Model 3 is a little over $70K without any tax credits.
The cars are not comparable in amenities nor speed...but they are identical in their ability to get one from point A to point B with a high probability of reliability. That is ALL I would own either one for, to commute. I would not drive one for any other reason on a dare. They are both good for nothing other than commuting in my opinion. It would take a $7500 tax credit every year for them to be comparable as far as cost of ownership goes. The model 3 seems to be far and away the best bet for an EV currently. It costing close to 3 times as much to own as a comparable commuter vehicle is problematic no matter how you slice it.

This is the weirdest comparison ever. Comparing one of the cheapest cars on the road to a 40k EV. If you’re so money conscious, get a bike

Got a gas tank at the shop, they come and top it off every 2 weeks. It’s nice
