You can make a PSA about being fat. I think people need to be shocked jnto realizing how bad their eating habits are. I'm have a terrible diet a lot of the time and have to remind myself to do better. You can even say that this is saving the lives of children in the sense that you are teaching them a better lifestyle that will last with them forever. But I'm not aware of the outbreak of accidental child deaths due to neglect that was caused by fatness. I mean you cant just say "man look at that fatass, I bet she'd let her kid drown she's so fat, we should make a commercial". It may have happened somewhere at some point, but it isnt prevalent like the issues in the somking PSA's.
And to be honest, I'm not a huge fan of PSA's. I dont think people listen to them.

There will be no real outrage until the first Health Food Bakery refuses to bake an obese couples wedding cake. Then we will see the politics of this movement.
Oh and I'm fat. And notice that usually us fatties keep our head down and go about our lives quietly. This was a thread by skinny people provoking the fatties.
Pardon me, I must now go eat 4 breakfast sandwiches from a nearby fast food establishment as the mockery has caused me anxiety. I'll just pretend I'm buying for the whole family.

It irritates me that there is a master settlement agreement for tobacco but none for fast food.

I'm all for the PSA, but killing kids is a bit much...last idea was great.

Until my insurance bill comes around

I see a doctor maybe twice a year if I get a sinus infection. How is that impacting your insurance bill?
Oh and you forgot to offset that by adding in the money your teenage kid is making at their minimum wage fast food job because we fatties overspend regularly to support our addiction.
This brings up a good question: shouldn't the OT hard bodies be out trumpeting the $15 minimum wage? Sounds like a deterrent for fatty behavior. Certainly I can't afford $7 biscuits and $10 burgers.

Apples and oranges, smoking is poisonous and addictive. Being "overweight" is a choice and a preference. Most people actually prefer being overweight, because it's comfortable and beautiful.

Just go to target at 2PM on a Thursday and you will see the land whales in their natural habitat.

Though I think a lot of the effects of obesity are due more to lack of physical activity.
that is almost impossible
even a crazy workout regime will only burn so many calories (like 400-500). most normal workouts are in teh 200-250 range. that's basically 1 coke
the lack of physical activity keeps the obese people alive for so long, b/c they don't put strain on their heart...

It would be funnier and morbid if it were death by starvation. This would have to hit fat people extra hard in the jimmies? amirite?

Here is the PSA that you can run for men: Losing weight makes your penis bigger and your boners harder and sex more fun.
Here is the PSA that you can run for women: These guys that lose weight and have bigger, harder boners are not going to have the more fun sex with you fatso.
I will start taking donations now.

The benefit from cardiovascular exercise isn't primarily from calories burned during the exercise, but from the "afterburn" effect; your metabolism is increased for a period of time after the workout. The higher intensity of your run, the longer the afterburn.
