Not for steady state cardio. Diet is 90% of the battle. Your body works better with healthy food vs Burger King diet.

Oh well I agree. That slow cardio is a waste of time. I only run high-intensity intervals.

Not yet, but it's coming. In our lifetime, you will see this.

While we are discussing all of the wonderful things in your life let me share with you how Amway has changed mine.

I mean, I agree there should be a lot more education about food and diets in America.
However, I firmly believe food addiction and emotional eating is just as addictive as alcohol is to an alcoholic or drugs to a drug addict. It is an addiction and one that is hard to break like any addiction.
I'm not sure I understand why sympathy is doled out by the millenials for druggies and alkys but not fatties. Hell there's more proof that being fat is genetic more than being a gay.
To me it's worse than drug addiction, because at least those people chose to frick up. You got the trash in this country raising their kids on this trashy food and they become unknowingly addicted.
Instead of shaming, maybe educating is the better route. Just trying to educate one's self on a diet will yield a shitton of bullshite diets and unhealthy fast weight loss schemes. It's hard to find good advice while wading thru the shite.

4 year old in a tub alone and on another floor to boot and a 5 year old (or any child) left in a car alone are not Fat issues. Common sense and parenting maybe. Your PSA idea is strong but the content certainly needs work.
Oh yeah not offended and I'm WAY Fat.

No there is plenty of information out there regarding diet and health. Hell, most of us fat folks could probably teach a nutrition class. At least daily someone who "cares" will offer a "did you know" or "you should try". So the problem is not educating or the amount of information.

I agree with the need for more education. Everyone is always looking for a quick fix instead of just increasing physical activity and making wiser food choices.
My husband and I had put on some weight over the past 15 years or so. Last summer, when he was diagnosed with apnea, we decided to make some changes. We started eating leaner, fresher foods and began walking 3 miles a day plus some weight training It worked.
Here's the kicker. People will ask us how we lost the weight, and we tell them. Invariably, they sound disappointed. They're sad to hear that it wasn't some great new supplement or a surgical method. They don't want to hear that we had to work for it.
I can honestly say that our quality of life is much better. Starting my day at the gym improves my energy level and my overall mood. Eating better foods just feels better. When I occasionally eat something bad, I usually feel a little nauseated because I am not used to eating that crap anymore.
It seems like people only want to be educated by Advocare reps or other con artists who are looking to make a buck from someone's desperation. They don't want to have to change their behaviors. Maybe educating people at young ages would help.

What are you going to do when you PSA indivertibly advises a 100lb person to believe they are fat and dies after starving themselves and their family sues you?
