These jobs are entry level for new workers (teen kids) or people needing to make ends meet. It could be your kid trying to pay bills while in college.
It is already a shitty and dangerous job.

Why are so many people on this board angry about the simplest shite. Its to the point it is funny. You started a PSA thread about rushing to the door when the pizza delivery person arrives. Wow! 
First, when I order a pizza and its 6PM and they tell me it will be 35 minutes, when it gets near 6:35 I start being on the lookout. So when I see them pull up, I have everything ready to go to make a quick exchange.
Next, I think its common courtesy to not drag arse because the longer I take, the longer it takes for them to deliver to someone else.
Its that fricking simple, but I honestly think common courtesy is something that is becoming the thing of the past. People like you are just a bunch of selfish assholes.

You have to go find your wallet? You were so busy you couldn’t have payment ready? Why do you feel your time is more valuable than the delivery person’s? You asked for them to come to your house as a service. I’ll bet you write checks at the grocery store but don’t pull out your checkbook until given the total. You seem like a huge douche.
