If every adult in the US got a stimulus check of $500.. There is over 300M people in the US, let's say 200M are adults. 200M x $500 would be.. 10 Trillion.

The US debt is just over $36 trillion. So take that $10T and that's almost 1/3rd of the debt. It could be paid off in 4 years.

Pros: You get $5000.
Cons: You pay that back in inflation. 400 million people x $5000 = $2 trillion. DOGE is not saving the US $2 trillion. At most, the fed will cut spending by a few billion and then send it to Israel because Israeli intelligence can replay (or fabricate) recordings of every member of Congress sucking off a goat.

Stimulus checks are retarded.

Think about this like you fricked up your withholdings and overpaid by $5k.

It’s going to be taxed, will put you in a higher bracket to be taxed even more. Winning.

Actually the $5,000 would only go to taxpayers. So, less than half the country.

And that 5k is supposed to be 20% of the savings. They aint giving us 100% of the savings.

Pros : I could pay 1/2 of what I owe. Con’s: I still owe another $5,000

I’m gonna shite my pants when I find out what I owe this year. I’d love for them to knock off 5k.

If there is a check, it should only go to people who actually pay federal taxes. They didn't waste everyone's money, just the taxpayers.

This. But we all know that is not the way it will work. What's more, those that do pay in every year will likely exceed the income limits for any stimulus.

$5000, shite I was doing $500.. Either way, if they send every tax paying American a $5000 check.. The democrats might lose 25% of their voting base instantly.

It’s not a stimulus check.

Wrong. It is designed to juice the economy by dumping billions from the federal government.

Will it be tax free? (No)

I'd rather use the DOGE savings to slow the bleeding debt, and would rather not cause further inflation like all the 2020 "stimulus" and 2021 stupidity spending bills.

The last administration issued too much “Stimulus” and as a result lost the last election by a landslide. I hope the current administration learned a lesson from that…
