Then you’re just stupid. frick logic amirite?

Restaurant piss me off. Must take out anger on peasant worker.

No wonder this board complains about society sucking all the time.

Next time HJjr goes to restaurant to not tip, extra tip in his soup.

People say this all the time but I’ve worked in restaurants before and nobody has the actual balls to do this. Restaurant workers talk of lot of shite but have 0 follow through. And unless someone comes in at least once or twice a week, nobody is remembering the person who doesn’t tip.

but we all know that a couple boxes, a bag, and some utensils cost about $0.25 max.

Jesus I wish that was all it cost

It’s funny cause places that do this won’t charge someone for a couple to-go boxes that ate inside the restaurant. It’s a bad business model imo.

You are forgetting the delivery service provider fees (Door Dash, Uber Eats, etc). That is also what those fees are for. Instead of charging people who come in and dine we just charge those that use the dsp networks

The 10% to go fee... I worked at Waffle House in the late 90s, it was a thing then. The $2.14/hr server got the 10% fee back then because she still had to put everything together and took the call to record the order. It was a forced tip because people didn't really tip on takeout.

Don't know how it works now.

The last store I worked at, I also received hazard pay... was probably one of those locations that now want to close indoor service during late night hours.

They must be losing most of the fights now. Hire tougher employees.

Whups. Waffle house has a niche that others can't fill. Yes, you can get hamburgers anywhere (almost), but a quick, correctly cooked waffle? You can get the precooked microwaved ones, but a pecan waffle, the size your Grandmother used to cook from scratch? Add good hash browns, your choices of unburnt pork products? Toast, real toast that comes to you hot and not soggy?

Somewhere else generally isn't unless you have a long established neighborhood diner (See Camellia Grill in Carrolton, New Orleans).

They’re building a new Waffle House in my hometown. However, I’m afraid we lack the proper level of culture to have any good Waffle House fights.

They might not have the staff at night.

Forcing them to do take out only. IDK.

I was a regular at waffle house during the night.

And the staff, all but the cook was horrible.

I quit going. They arent even nice, just I hate my life type people written on their forehead.

Is that like a heart attack to go?
Why would anybody eat at a Waffle House, IHOP, mCDonalds, Wendy’s, Chic Fil, any fast food etc? It’s gross, it’s bad for you and smells bad…so many better options

They should just not do to-go at certain locations. I hate waiting for the to-go orders to be taken while I wait to pay for dining in.

I waited 20 min or more to pay while two guys ordered 3 meals each to-go the last time I went, and this was at 1230 on a Sat morning.
