Old baw who works in my building was telling me that since his wife has died he's decided to live it up on credit cards until they cancel them all and then commit a federal White collar crime so he can go to prison to live out his retirement. Says he'll get fed, healthcare, access to Cable, library, gym etc

He sounds serious although it's hard to tell. He seems to think It'll be like summer camp. I told him he watches too much TV.

Not a good way to maintain the integrity of your o-ring in old age.

Maybe he doesn't wanna die alone and would rather spend the rest of his days holding hands in the shower

He better be careful. He could end up in a "Federal pound me in the arse prison".

Plenty of 18-24 year old black males have the same retirement plan. Works for them.

My FIL’s neighbor went to white collar prison for embezzlement for 5 years, I think. Said they had tennis and squash courts. Don’t know if I believe him or not, but he didn’t seem to age a day while in there. He must have had it pretty easy.

I would imagine on some level it would be stress free once the initial shock wore off. You have to make zero decisions. Much of my stress is just decision fatigue.

This baw just wanted to get away from his wife the only way he knew how.

quote:

Ripple handed a note to a bank teller in Kansas City demanding cash and warning he had a gun. Ripple took the money, $2,924, and went to sit in the lobby, where he told a guard he was the “guy he was looking for.”

quote:

A Kansas man who robbed a bank last September and told police that he was hoping to get caught so he would get prison time to escape his wife was sentenced Tuesday to six months of home confinement after pleading guilty, the Kansas City Star reported.

Irony is, for 6 months, he couldn't escape her.

Boomers should be put in prison for the crimes against humanity they’ve committed against millennials like making us get college debt

Know some folks that have done prison retreats in the Allen Parish correction center and they house both white collar and murderers. I guess it depends on what agency handles the prosecution as to whether it’s a DOC facility or federal.
