Fun fact: There will never be a queen of Morocco. Only males can be monarchs and the kings wife is always referred to as princess.

he's the Prince Consort, same was as Prince Albert was to Queen Victoria

None of that helps. I just thought that marriage to the queen makes him a king. Marriage to a King makes a woman a queen.....

It's already been mentioned ITT, but in male preferred primogeniture, King is higher than Queen. So you wouldn't elevate the non-royal bloodline (Philip) over the royal bloodline (Elizabeth). Therefore, Queens' husbands do not become King.

There was a line from a movie about their life -- can't remember which one. And they were rehearsing for her coronation. And they got to the point where he has to kneel before her while she's being crowned. And he was like: "frick that. I'm not kneeling for my wife." But they eventually convinced him to do it.

If it wasn't actual home footage, then I'm going to assume that was a dramatic interpretation and not something that necessarily happened in real life.
