People fricking suck. I read an article the other day about people cleaning stores out of hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes. Dude and his brother cleaned out rural stores in TN and KY by renting a UHaul and filling it up. They were reselling at huge markups on Amazon and Ebay. They've since had their selling privileges rescinded and now are stuck with a garage full of this shite.
Last night I was just checking some shite out on Amazon using the Camel app, which trends pricing on items. Looked at a bidet due to TP shortage...price was 300% higher than previous high. Canned tomatoes....up several hundred %...etc.
I can't stand people who do this shite. Ya'll seen any price gouging?

You'll see it in every market for the upcoming weeks until this bullshite blows over. Don't be surprised if prices at the store goes up, we are paying through the roof to get shite out.

It's the same reason I own a handgun and a rifle only, not stocking up on weapons. You can hoard all that shite all you want, when shite really pops off and really gets bad there'll be plenty of them lying around. Not everyone in the US is Master Marksman, not everyone will be able to hang on to their loot.

Heard on the radio this morning they got a visit from the local DA office and were told to donate it or faces charges. (Could be a hoax, but FWIW they said there was some law against excessive profits during an emergency or somethinG)

Slightly raising pricing to account for demand is different from gouging people on necessary items in a time of emergency. The latter is not a cornerstone of muh capitalism.
