Science says you're wrong.

There is a certain level of in night knowledge of people that are different than us. look different. Act different.

It's been wired into all our DNA since the dawn of man.

That doesn't mean we can't override it but like all animals we recognize that the outsiders don't look like the rest of the tribe.

It's a survival mechanism.

You don't think that constant exposure to certain behaviors online shape that at all?

First law firm I was in hired a paralegal from some all white town in Oklahoma. When she first started, she'd express disdain at "all the racism."

Six months later, she'd say "why do blacks bitch all the time about everything being racist."

Part of it is it is also easy to generalize about any recognizable group.

I had a guy come in about a criminal matter (that I was able to resolve for him in a very favorable way). During our last meeting, he was telling a story and then said "that's why I hate white people."

I just laughed and he said "oh, but not you."

I just don't understand. It's not racist to notice a color. Is your son blind?

Right. Racism is thinking you are better because of race. Not knowing that a haircut wont make you look black makes you an imbecile. Lady, you should test your son lol.

PC fostered myth to diminish white men.

Look it up.

You see, Jax is Caucasian. And the reason that's important to this story is because Reddy is African American.

This kind of labeling bullshite pisses me off. It should be European-American and African-American, black and white, or Caucasian and Negroid.

Mixing terminology for some politically correct agenda is ridiculous.

Also, do people actually verify citizenship status when calling someone an African-American? I have heard NBA commentators refer to players as African-American that were foreign. It's the only commonly used racial label that infers citizenship, rather than race or ethnicity.

The other day my little boy asked me where "African-America" was.

One of the funniest things is watching these PC American reporters overseas refer to them as things like "African-American Britons" or some stupid shite like that.

It's as if they have no concept of reality.

Our society is permeated with pathetic pussies who measure the success of everyday deeds by how many "shares" and "likes" we get by posting something on social media. What in the frick is going on?

You're not able to enjoy a very simple, cool story because you have to find the way to be mad at everything in life instead of enjoying the good. I think that's what's going on here.

And another one.

Either you guys have zero experiences with a 5 year old, or you guys don't realize that you're the ones that actually need to be tested for your intelligence.

No he was 10 and skin color just didn't matter to him enough to ever make note of.

He saw a fun friend who lived next door. That is all.

my parents grew up in an area with almost no minorities. i grew up in an area with a lot of minorities. needless to say, we have very different views on race & ethnicity.

Yeah having raised two kids from my experience they don't notice race when young. I've seen kids that do but surprise suprise they come from trashy households.

Edit: and I'd agree with the post above me as well, it depends on where they are raised. If the area is 99% white the one black kid is going to stand out no matter what. Here in Louisiana where they're exposed to blacks and whites all the time to them it's just blends all together

The only difference Jax sees in the two of them is their hair.
Wait til Reddy gets in a school or gets a job ahead of him because of aff action or the like, THEN he'll see a difference.

They don't notice much at this age, not just race. That's why I kept saying those that melting harping on him not being smart or whatever just have never been around 5 years old much.
