Definitely a big upswing in the fireworks this year around my house. Maybe LSU has people amped up more than usual. Gave the dog a heavy dose of Benadryl.

My dog was outside in the backyard to pee when they started here. I feel like shite because I know she is scared of them and I forget every NYE. I always remember on the 4th though. She is now laying halfway up the staircase with one eye on the living room and one eye on the landing at the top waiting for my kids to show. Poor girl is terrified.

We just moved into a neighborhood after living in downtown New Orleans for 9 years. People are shooting fireworks all over. She’s pregnant and asked what we will do when they shoot them and our newborn is here. I told her I’ll be out there shooting with everyone

They had an old bag that called in on 870 am earlier today. She said she calls the cops as soon as the fireworks starts. And she couldn't understand why people weren't getting arrested for fireworks. She basically said she fears for her life because her house is gonna catch on fire.

I don't live far from you and it has indeed been fun seeing the blue hairs lose it on FB in this area.

They have been shooting fireworks for Saints scores in big games for at least three years around here. It has def. happened more this season. I went and got my son a bunch on Saturday and told him to show something every time LSU scored. Fun times.

Bucktown def. shoots a lot, but Harahan baws are the kings of that crap based on my experience.

We have some new trashy neighbors down the street. Sounds like they spent half their yearly cigarette budget on fireworks.

I invite my neighbors over. Feed them and let their kids and/or grandkids take part.

Never have any complaints.

I could swear that I’m hearing semi-automatic rifles going off at times in Galvez on 933. The sounds are too evenly spaced to be random fireworks. Pistols, too.

It got so bad, in the neighborhood, that one of the snowflakes support dog needed to get their own emotional support cat.

Don’t have a problem with fireworks. What I do have a problem with is fricksticks (probably like you) that can’t shoot the motherfrickers tonight. We have to listen to random fireworks for the next 2 weeks waking kids, dogs, etc.

Go buy your fireworks and do your thing but do it with a little consideration. No one wants to hear your “cool” leftover firework next Tuesday night at 10:20. Trust me.

This x 1000. We don't pop them anymore as I had an artillery shell go off 15 feet off the ground (if I hadn't had glasses on I'd have lost an eye). But what should be two nights / yr isn't a big deal. Jackasses that pop them four to five days before and after are a-holes.
