There will probably be 20-50 verdicts or settlements in Harris County this year alone that are north of CEO pay. Boosie is a true believer, I’ll give him that.

Do you know what a jury of your peers look like in Orleans or Rapides Parish? I do and it’s not anything an insurance company will take a chance with.

More than half of the counties around Atlanta have the same issue.

The insurance companies know.
The trial lawyers know.

Especially defense counsel who love to churn the bill.

It’s more than just that, if you look at political fundraisers for judges, they are all sponsored by PI lawyers. I mean in what world does that make any sense?

I hate Gordon and Morris and their model more than all of you combined. But I also know the largesse is not confined to one side of the equation. I’ve got a unique look into that side, too.

This is why insurance companies would suggest companies to put cameras on their vehicles. Eventually cameras will be std equipment on all vehicles.

I’ve worked both sides of the bar. There are many reasons the insurance industry has rapidly devolved. Not limited to auto insurance. The Gordons of the world are just as complicit as the “legit” attorneys who are siphoning $15million settlements out of plant or industrial accidents because companies are afraid of juries awarding 3-4x that at trial.

PI attorneys are the only reason insurance companies aren’t the most hated entity in this state - like a Mississippi v LA ordeal.

How common is this BS? Minor wrecks with people immediately running to a lawyer and getting a BS chiropractor assessment to bilk the insurance company out of 10s of thousands.

Just look at the advertisements. That should answer your question

Geico is prob the wrong one to choose. They had a change of ($65.9m) in executive compensation.

Best one I personally know of.

A woman I know had a daughter backing out of a convenience store parking lot and backed into a parked car. Parked car had a bent fender, so she goes inside and asks who owns the vehicle she backed into. A black guy from Houston says it’s his so they go outside and call the police. Cop comes and tells them it’s on private property so nothing he can do, to just exchange insurance info, take pics and let insurance handle it.

The mother calls insurance company and tells them about the accident and that she will pay for the minor damage on the other vehicle.

She doesn’t hear anything from her insurance for months, then when her insurance renewal comes up, her insurance premiums have tripled. She calls them and asks why. They tell her they settled with the other driver for the auto damage and personal injury for $12,000! The dude wasn’t even in the car, and it was a dented fender.

That’s how fricking stupid insurance companies are and how disgusting most plaintiffs are.

That doesn’t make any sense. If the insurance company paid out for injury that means the plaintiffs attorney attempted to sue, the holder of the policy would have been served in that instance.

Those soft tissue damages can be difficult to recover from. You could miss lunch maybe 2-3 times.

Insurance companies have to act in the best interest of their insured and not expose them to an excess judgment. It doesnt take much to get to 15k minimum limits in La.

I’m just telling you what she told me.

She wanted to pay out of pocket to fix it, and the insurance company told her they’d get back to her with the estimate. Never did, just settled with the plaintiff. She had no idea they had paid it.

She was furious. I remember her telling me that she screamed at them, “Injuries? He wasn’t even in the fricking car you morons!”

I’d imagine it’s common to ask for a lot and then ultimately settle for a little.

Throw out Golden Rule arguments and you get a lizard instead.

You know the reptile theory is in use from the second you read the complaint. Whittling down its use and effectiveness starts then.
