How ever you decide to fight you need to get a support group by your side. Be honest with your family and friends. We have had 3 friends kill themselves in the past year in my town and no one thought it was that bad. Bro I have been an addict my entire adult life. Mainly prescription pills and heroin. A few months ago I decided to give my life to our Lord Jesus Christ and he delivered me from my self made prison. He can and will do the same for you. The bible says by his stripes we are healed. Give it to God brother and I promise that the old you will die and you will become a brand new man. Give it a thought bro. We aren't strong enough to do it on our own.

I paid well over 10k to get fully medically detoxed. Looking back on it, i would've paid 100k. Don't let a temporary Financial set back dictate your life

Go to AA or NA or even if it isn't just alcohol, AA. Lots of folks in AA could also be in NA.
I initially thought the whole AA thing was dumber than a bag of rocks and 10 years later, I still haven't had a drink thanks to AA.

Yes. The advice and words of wisdom on this board are very impactful if shared honestly. Lots of people here with experience overcoming challenges and those are the best advice givers.
