Anyone currently make this commute? Is it as horrific as it sounds?

I drive from Ponchatoula to Convent 4 days a week. Not bad in the morning taking 55 to 10. I take hwy 22 home. 120 mile round trip. It's not bad.

Be more specific? If you're way down 42 close to Fred's on the River and commuting to Madisonville, it's not so bad.

If you're in Manchac Place going to Slidell? frick THAT.

You could bypass the crap on the interstate by taking 42 to Holden or Springfield / 22 the rest of the way. It probably won't be much faster, but it's less stressful.

Tough drive. Either down to I-55 to I-12, or 42 to I-12 via 447 or 441.

I do quite a bit from downtown Prairieville to Mandeville.
Take 42 to 16. Left back on 42 towards Colyell. Left on 63 to I12. Traffic is not to bad once your finished with 42 in Ascension.

What'd the North Shore have to give up?

(Please say Slidell)

It's not that bad if you're getting off before the Covington/Mandeville exit. Apparently people can't handle driving over the bridge.

I live around the area and wondered where this could be? Walmart on Airline or off of 42 by the old Leblancs.

Downtown Prairieville is near every ones favorite choke n puke, Sammy's. Close to the historical site of land adjacent to the Rock Church off Post Office rd.
