Oak Grove area to Mandeville.

Ah. Like others have said, 42/441/12 will be best bet.
I've done that route to 12 a lot over the last 6 years. Not too bad.

I commute a long way as well but love the job, love where I live, gas is still pretty cheap, and I drive a 4cyl Accord ~37-40mpg each way.

So my advice is always try and have your checklist when heading out of: snacks/drinks/music/traffic app/go-to shitters/gas stations along the commute. .

Thanks bud. I was thinking the ole back way also. Looking at a possible job over there, but not sure I want to move just yet. I think it's 71 mikes or so 1 way.

About the same for me. I did 74 miles each way for 3 years from 08-11.
Anything's doable for 3-5 years if your total workday with commute is <=12 hrs. Just think like that and don't worry about what others are doing. Move when you're ready if ever.
Moving to somewhere you don't want to be is 10x's worse than a long commute. Trust me. .

If you're asking, then it's going to be too hard for me to explain.

Have been trying for years to get google to drop a dot for me.

70 minutes. off erry utter friday. lots of holidays. lots of company paid events for kids and stuff.
totally flex schedule. leave at 5am some mornings 6am some mornings. big office beautiful view and great co-workers and free to dawdle on OT most days for a spell.

And most importantly, I still get to live 5 minutes from Tiger Stadium and Alex Box.
