Toby Harrah, during his career with the Rangers, was involved in three of the most unusual feats recorded in MLB history.

In 1976 he played an entire doubleheader without taking a single fielding opportunity. At shortstop.

The following year he and teammate Bump Wills hit back-to-back, inside-the-park home runs.

Later on he would hit the first grand slam in a game which featured three of them, the most in any game.

The Sonoran desert is the greenest desert in the world.

The highest and lowest points in the continental US are only 84.6 miles apart.

Almost certainly every glass of water you drink has molecules that dinosaurs also drank.

I think that has more to do with the area the honey was stored.

There are probably other foods that if kept in a dry environment will stay good indefinitely.

The Pacific coast of South America is in the same time zone as the Atlantic coast of the USA.

A lot of people pronounce Nevada “Ne-vah-duh.” It’s actually pronounced “Ne-vad-uh.”

Liberty Island is an enclave of NY. It’s surrounded by NJ waters.

Mark Twain was born on the same day that Haley's comet appeared in the sky.
Mark Twain also died the day that Haley's Comet appeared in the sky, a fact that he actually predicted.

The planet Venus rotates so slowly, you'd be able to watch the sunset forever just by walking toward it.

That's incredible. You could walk to day and walk to the night but you have to walk sideways to keep it consistent.

Both John Adams and Thomas Jefferson died on the same day: July 4th 1826, exactly fifty years after they signed the Declaration of Independence.

And as John Adams neared the end, he said, “Thomas Jefferson still survives”, but he was wrong. Jefferson had passed a few hours earlier, but the messenger hadn’t arrived at Adams’ home yet.
