Landed at home base Saturday afternoon after an extended 26 day road trip. Touched all four borders eight National Parks & short of a skid pad, just about every road type; Tail of the Dragon to off-road and everything in befweeen.

If interested, there is a recap of the journey on the Rennlist “General Porsche Discussion” forum:
LINK

I didn’t intend for the thread to be a journal of the trip, but it ended up that way. A little long, but you might enjoy.

This was the third attempt to complete the trek. The previous two summer attempts ended after day one when respiratory issues forced a return, so it was pretty special for this old guy :-)

I dont have a sports car but that sounds like a damn good time.

With soo much traffic in most cities its still a great feeling to find a nice stretch of empty roads with great scenery.

I love this, thanks for posting (also very cool to see a fellow Rennlist poster in the OT Lounge)!

It also makes me feel like a terrible owner that you did 9,971 miles in 26 days, and I just crossed the 5,000 mile mark in my daily driver 992 after about 19 months

That was a very cool read. Thanks for sharing

And your car still sparkled even through all those miles. How did it handle in the storms?

I haven't done the Dragon in awhile now. Went to Minis on the Dragon for about five years straight.

Sweet Targa! You don’t see many of them on the road, but I find them to be way cooler looking than the convertible 911s and more exotic overall.

What kind of law do you practice to roll around in a $200k car? My assumption is personal injury. I swear I’m in the wrong practice.

Also a Rennlist/TD crossover guy here. Was reflicting on the mileage - have 2500 on the clock for daily driver ('23 Cayenne S)- but that has come since Jan 1 of this year, lol. Happy trails, good read.

Question: Why the Montana Plates? I assume you are in/from Louisiana (username and Brian Harris License Plate Holder)?
