I’m not saying the policy is wrong, but if you don’t have some sympathy in your heart for ppl in these situations then you’re not the good guy.
I’m not sure what the answer is, but these are people paying for the sins of their parents and being deported “back” to a country they’ve never known.

You can view situations more grayly as time goes on, but you have to be more black and white about it when trying to get it under control. We should be developing policies to streamline the citizenship process for people who go about it the proper way.

I’m sure plenty of people that break the law find ways to justify it. In fact, most do. I feel bad for the guy but he knew what he was doing and chose to do it anyway. Sometimes doing to right thing is hard.

Why would an American need/want a Mexican license?

So breaking the law or defending the breaker of a law is being "the good guy".
Naw dude, being a good guy is being the guy who supports reasonable laws and our immigration laws are very reasonable. Staying here illegally and thinking you deserve to stay here illegally, while doing nothing about being here legally makes you a bad guy and if you feel sorry for this bad guy, you are an effeminate bad guy.

And?

His family wasn't even told where he was. Trump's mass deportation machine is obstructing due process and tearing apart families.
It's almost like when you are here illegally, you aren't afforded the same rights as citizens, i.e. getting to stay in this fricking country. They all blame trump when they have a problem when what they need to be doing is looking in the mirror.
I will say that it's slightly unfortunate for him that he got caught when he did because he'll be naturalized soon enough. They SHOULD just go ahead and let him go.
